The Japan Blockchain Association and the Japan Cryptocurrency Business Association are considering merging to form a self-regulating body. Some propose that it is better for the industry to self-regulate before the government steps in and over regulates. So far, Japan has been one of the leading countries for cryptocurrency/Blockchain innovation.
