FCC: Shut Down Bitcoin Mining Device or Face Seizure

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) found that a Brooklyn resident’s cryptocurrency mining device was interfering with T-Mobile’s phone signal in the area. The FCC was able to locate the Antminer s5 Bitcoin Miner responsible for creating the static for T-mobile users by using direction-finding devices. The resident was given a notice to shut off the miner or face fines and seizure of mining equipment.
