China Witch Hunt Continues: Guangzhou Hub Shuts Down Crypto Events

The Guangzhou district, an important economic area in the South of China, is reported to have banned all promo events to do with virtual currencies in line with the current stance of the Chinese government.

On Friday, Aug. 24, it published a notice prohibiting any crypto-related events in the area. Earlier, the Tencent giant also followed the directions from above, banning all WeChat accounts related to the crypto industry. Besides, similar orders were given regarding the Chaoyang area of Beijing, also a popular Blockchain hub in the past.
