The giant mining gear producer Bitmain has released a new ASIC miner tailored directly for the Decred network, Antminer D3, offering a 7.8 hashrate.

Even though it is not the best time for Bitmain, it still has enlarged its product line with miners aimed at promising altcoins that used to be mined with GPU.

DCR currently takes 30th place on the top coins list, trading at $38.10. It is not very popular at the moment and is traded mainly in the South Korean markets. Recently, DCR has been added to the Hong Kong-based KuCoin exchange.
