The Factom® Protocol introduces four new Authority Node Operators to its decentralized governance model

CHICAGO, IL, 18th June 2019 - In an exciting step for the Factom® Protocol, the third round of Authority Node Operator selections is complete, with four strong companies to become a part of the protocol.

A total of 11 applicants from the United States, China, Europe, South Korea, Africa, Brazil and Japan created a competitive campaign with extremely high-quality submissions. Applicants were required to demonstrate business and technical capability, demonstrate practical experience of running servers on the Factom testnet, a readiness to engage with the community and a commitment to progress the protocol.

For this third round of ANO elections, applicants were mostly independent businesses that included a dedicated infrastructure provider, data appraisal company, recruitment specialists, website creators, digital strategists, entrepreneurs, visionaries and developers.

The Factom Discussion Forum – Factomize, where Factom Community members and developers  discuss all aspects of the Factom protocol was actively used to publish information and collate questions. Data was then merged for voting.

It has been a fantastic ANO election round and to have entities apply that have been part of the Factom ecosystem since 2016 is incredible,” said Greg Forst, Marketing Committee Chair. “The experience level of applicants was noticeably high, which is a testament to the Protocol’s ability to pull in talent to the community based on being a top enterprise-grade blockchain”.

The latest round of Authority Node elections was the first time that both Standing Parties, active ANOs and Guides have voted. This is a major step in the progression of decentralization for the protocol.

Ahead of the curve, in technology and governance, the Factom® Protocol has quietly gained an enviable reputation amongst leading figures. With a developed community and growing network, the protocol addresses scalability and speed required by today’s applications.

Factom® Protocol Authority Node Operators (ANOs) were introduced with the roll out of the M3 Governance in April 2018. ANOs run authority nodes as part of the decentralization of the protocol and participate in governance.

The Factom community would like to congratulate and welcome Consensus Networks, Kompendium, HashQuark and Factable Solutions.
