Canadian-based Alternate Health Corp. declared the launch of ZiApp, a digital mobile wallet for merchants in the medical cannabis industry, earlier today.

ZiApp uses fixed-price, utility tokens to process payments to merchants at a much lower cost than traditional banks or payment service providers, the company says.

Integrating the company’s mobile payment engine and digital wallet with a Blockchain platform, created a “groundbreaking” alternative to the high costs of processing merchant transactions, said Dr. Michael Murphy, Chairman and CEO of Alternate Health

in a company statement released today.
