Jonathan Kellner, the former CEO of Insistent, who left his executive position earlier this August, will reportedly join Coinbase in January 2019 to lead the company’s institutional sales. After working at Instinet for more than ten years, Kellner is expected to further push the growth of Coinbase’s OTC trading business.

Recently, Coinbase has also hired Oputa Ezediaro, a J.P. Morgan vet, aggressively continuing its expansion with a recently opened New York office. The company’s interest in this niche is not surprising since the industry is witnessing a huge influx of institutional money.
