The mayor of Busan, the key South Korean city after the capital has announced that he is aiming to turn the city into a “Crypto Valley” of the country, similarly to Zug in Switzerland. The mayor believes he and his team could set up a favorable crypto environment.

Also, the island of Jeju has publicized plans to turn itself into a “crypto island,” following the model of Malta. Jeju is legally able to follow its own regulations regarding digital assets without having to follow what the Korean federal government says.
