Long-time SHIB community member and Shiba Eternity advisor, Mazrael, has responded to fresh speculation of a Shiba Inu project restart, dismissing such claims as false.

An X user, RuggRat, claimed that "Shiba Inu isn't just changing direction, it may be starting over," sharing details of a proposal discussed during a community space, which he stated could mark a complete departure from the previous Shiba Inu roadmap.

The goal of the proposal, according to the X user, was to remove the rebuilt ecosystem from anything still controlled by the former leadership. This could mean moving away from the existing infrastructure, migrating to an entirely different blockchain, rebuilding ShibaSwap under a new platform, avoiding the Shib.io website because it remains controlled by the previous team, removing Zama from the roadmap, reconsidering the roles of BONE, LEASH and TREAT, and rebuilding governance, products, liquidity, and community infrastructure from the ground up. This implies that there may no longer be a near-term vision centered on Shibarium, Zama-powered confidentiality or the ecosystem structure many holders believed they were supporting.

The X user shared a link to 'Shiba DAO,' a page that contained a warning that its content might contain scams or be malicious in nature.

Mazrael directly rejected the claims, responding to RuggRat's post: "Funny how you keep this up knowing it's fake." Another X user called the 'reconstruction' a scam, while Mazrael highlighted RuggRat's post as a deliberate attempt to keep the misinformation up.

Scam warning issued

This development highlights recent scam warnings issued to the Shiba Inu community, with scammers promoting fake migration information through Telegram channels.

As reported, Mazrael identified certain bad actors who posted a false migration claim on Shiba Inu Telegram channels after muting and banning developers while stating that these individuals have nothing to do with ShibaSwap or Shibarium.

Mazrael pointed to these same individuals as being behind the fake Shiba Inu restart proposal, adding that they have nothing to do with ShibaSwap or Shibarium and much less with Zama.

In this light, the Shiba Inu community is urged to take precautions and not visit unofficial websites intended to spread misinformation nor open suspicious links that might result in the theft of their funds.
