What is SHKeeper?

SHKeeper is an open-source cryptocurrency payment processor that users can host on their own servers, developed by VSYS Host. SHKeeper seamlessly integrates gateway and merchant capabilities, allowing the acceptance of cryptocurrencies without the need for intermediaries or additional fees.

Offering a distinctive non-custodial approach to cryptocurrency payment processing, SHKeeper stands out in the market with its variety of features, functionality, and extensive range of supported coins.

How Does SHKeeper Work?

SHKeeper is a self-hosted software that you install on your own servers. It ensures complete control and security without any third-party access.

SHKeeper includes an API. Depending on your infrastructure, you can either utilize the available API documentation or create a custom module. For widely-used CMSs and platforms, free pre-built modules are available on SHKeeper's GitHub for free. SHKeeper can be adapted to different systems, popular CMS platforms, or custom-developed solutions.

SHKeeper functions by creating and monitoring unique cryptocurrency addresses for each invoice. To manage client interactions and generate invoices, an existing system — whether it’s a CRM, back-office software, online store, or similar platform — is necessary.

Once your system creates an invoice and the client chooses a cryptocurrency, your system communicates with SHKeeper’s API gateway. SHKeeper then assigns a unique cryptocurrency address and specifies the exact payment amount. It monitors this address, and when the payment is received, it sends an API callback to your system or store to confirm the transaction.

As a completely self-hosted solution, SHKeeper processes payments without involving third parties or charging transaction fees, though standard blockchain/network fees apply for transactions.

What's New at SHKeeper?

SHKeeper has introduced several updates this summer:

External Node Support: SHKeeper no longer requires users to run their own nodes. External nodes are now supported for nearly all major cryptocurrencies, reducing server demands and making the platform accessible for smaller businesses.

Expanded Coin Support: SHKeeper now supports additional cryptocurrencies, including Polygon (MATIC) and Avalanche (AVAX). The platform's supported coins include BTC, ETH, LTC, DOGE, XMR, XRP, TRX, BNB, MATIC, AVAX, USDT (ERC20, TRC20, BEP-20, Polygon, Avalanche), and USDC (ERC20, TRC20, BEP-20, Polygon, Avalanche). Work is underway to add support for SOL (Solana) and TON (Telegram Open Network).

Enhanced Integration and Free Modules: SHKeeper offers an API for seamless integration into existing systems. Users can create custom modules or use free pre-made modules for platforms like WordPress/WooCommerce and WHMCS. This summer were added modules for PrestaShop, and OpenCart. A free module for Magento is expected by August 2024.
