Pseudonymous cryptocurrency Don Alt has taken to the X social media network to suggest that XRP, one of the leading altcoins, might be gearing up for "Round 2" of its rally.

As reported by U.Today, Donalt, who boasts nearly 700,000 followers on the popular social media platform, accurately predicted XRP's enormous price surge that took place in the fourth quarter of 2024.

Last November, the token skyrocketed by a stunning 282%, vastly outperforming the broader cryptocurrency market.

On Nov. 13, DonAlt urged his followers to "long XRP," which he described as "the perfect trade." The token then rallied by 322% within just 20 days.

After a period of consolidation, XRP ended up peaking at $0.40 on the Bitstamp exchange on Jan. 16.

Since then, the token experienced a 52% correction, plunging to as low as $1.6 on Apr. 7.

At press time, the token is changing hands at $2.31 after adding roughly 5%.

XRP is likely to benefit from several bullish tailwinds, such as the likely approval of spot ETFs that could happen this summer.

Meanwhile, the XRP Ledger (XRPL) has now enabled full EVM compatibility.
