A unique combination of network metrics is being produced by XRP Ledger, with some indicators rising by about 200% while a number of headline activity metrics are sharply declining. The divergence implies that rather than increasing generally, activity has become more concentrated.

Activity stays up

Active users, which increased by 211% to roughly 498,200, have the highest reading. Transactions per ledger reached 191.68 after an additional 191.3% increase.

When taken as a whole, these numbers demonstrate how much more activity is being packed into the ledgers that the network is currently closing. Additionally, payment activity continues to be reasonably robust. At roughly 540,700, the number of payments rose by 5%. The remainder of the picture, though, is far less consistently optimistic.

Successful transactions decreased by 31.3% to 697,300, while total transactions fell by 42.7% to 771,300. Newly created accounts fell 85.2% to just 340, while active accounts fell 73.1% to about 3,800. Another significant contradiction is the volume of payments.

The total payment volume decreased by 89.2% to approximately 45.2 million XRP, even though the number of payments increased. Transaction fees also dropped by 79.3%, which caused XRP to soar. Therefore, the 200% or higher spikes should not be taken as proof that all aspects of XRPL activity are exploding at the same time.

More transactions being handled

Rather, the active-user metric has grown dramatically, and the network is handling far more transactions per closed ledger. A more direct bullish signal is provided by the price structure. After rising from roughly $1.00 to $1.70 during its August breakout, XRP is currently trading close to $1.37.

Crucially, at $1.35, XRP is still slightly above its 200-day moving average. The most recent XRP move was accompanied by a roughly 103% increase in trading volume, which strengthened the breakout and the ensuing struggle around long-term resistance. Right now, the $1.35 area is crucial.

The larger reversal structure of XRP would remain intact if it held above the 200-day average, and a recovery toward $1.45–$1.50 could rekindle upward momentum. Although XRPL's data is inconsistent, the nearly 200% increases in transaction density and active users demonstrate that significant network activity persists despite the retreat of several aggregate metrics.
