According to Bloomberg analyst Eric Balchunas, if Bitcoin continues to rise at its historical rate of 50% per year, Satoshi's estimated 1.1 million BTC stash may eventually surpass the net worth of investment titan Warren Buffett and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

"If Bitcoin does its normal 50%/annually" Balchunas wrote on X, "then Satoshi will pass Buffett this year and Zuck sometime next year-ish to be #2 richest in world (Elon has huge lead).”

The Bloomberg analyst predicts that Satoshi might surpass Warren Buffett, the sixth richest person in the world, this year. Satoshi previously surpassed Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang in late May by becoming the 11th richest person when its Bitcoin stash surpassed $120 billion.

Balchunas highlights that Tesla CEO and the current richest man in the world, Elon Musk, has a huge lead in the wealth rankings but predicts the potential of Satoshi surpassing Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg to become the second richest in the world by next year.

Satoshi has never moved or spent a single BTC from the original wallets, further adding to the mystery surrounding the identity of the BTC creator.

Balchunas compared Satoshi’s abstention to that of Jack Bogle, the late founder of Vanguard, who pioneered index investing but never cashed in, unlike others in the sector. The comparison highlights Bitcoin's philosophical aspect: a technology gifted to the world, not exploited for personal gain.

Satoshi now worth $114 billion

According to blockchain intelligence platform Arkham, Satoshi’s legendary Bitcoin stash, believed to be an estimated 1.1 million BTC, is now worth $114,196,529,111.25, down from the $120 billion mark it reached in late May.

The drop comes as Bitcoin has cooled off from its recent highs. After reaching all-time highs of almost $112,000 last month, Bitcoin dropped amid broader market volatility, reaching a low of $103,110 on May 31. At press time, BTC was down 0.43% in the last 24 hours to $103,895.

Satoshi's Bitcoin stash remains a major point of interest for analysts and crypto enthusiasts alike.
