Another significant spike in network activity has been noted on the XRP Ledger, with transaction execution increasing by about 70% during the observed period. The increase highlights a widening gap between on-chain usage and market performance, even as XRP's price continues to move sideways.

Network activity stays high

Additionally, according to recent XRPL data, there are about 15,000 active sending accounts and 170,000 daily active users, indicating that the increase is supported by broader network participation rather than a few significant transactions.

Even though the number of active users has varied over the past month, they remain near the top of the recent range, suggesting ongoing network engagement. The increase appears to be driven by a number of factors.

The XRP Ledger's ongoing growth in payment activity is probably the biggest contributor. For quick, inexpensive transfers, the network is still one of the most popular settlement layers, and increasing payment volume inevitably results in more transactions.

As developers expand XRPL-based applications, token issuance, decentralized exchange activity, and automated market maker operations continue to generate more on-chain transactions. Network efficiency is another crucial component. Both retail users and enterprise applications find the XRP Ledger appealing because it consistently completes transactions in a matter of seconds while maintaining extremely low fees.

XRP remains stuck with no volatility

However, the improving fundamentals have not yet been reflected in price action. After multiple unsuccessful attempts to recover the 50-day and 100-day exponential moving averages, XRP is still stuck in the $1.06 region. The 200-day EMA remains near $1.39 and is pointing lower, and the asset is still trading below all major trend indicators.

Momentum indicators remain muted. Even though on-chain statistics have improved, buyers have not regained control, as evidenced by the RSI remaining below the neutral 50 threshold.

During the recent consolidation, volume has steadily decreased, indicating that traders are still cautious as they wait for a more potent catalyst. The divergence between price performance and network growth is becoming more noticeable.

Sustained increases in transaction activity have historically not always resulted in immediate price appreciation, but they frequently provide stronger long-term support by demonstrating real utility rather than speculative demand.

The recent 70% increase in transaction execution for XRP supports the claim that the ledger continues to attract genuine usage even during periods of poor market performance. These improving fundamentals may eventually lay the groundwork for a more significant recovery if network activity remains high and overall sentiment toward cryptocurrencies improves.
