XRP is holding its ground around $1.41 today, ending August with a strong 35% gain. The token's current price momentum confirms a little-known fact — contrary to the entrenched belief that the beginning of autumn is historically weak, XRP's performance over the past several years reveals a pronounced bullish trend.
Detailed statistics show that the asset has closed September in the green for four consecutive years, recording gains of 46.2%, 0.42%, 7.98% and 2.49%, respectively.

The token's positive median return across its entire history (+0.42%) is now reinforced by this recent upward trend. The strong momentum accumulated by the end of the summer creates a foundation for XRP to extend its successful streak into September 2026.
Too early to celebrate?
This rise takes on particular significance against the backdrop of the key event this autumn: the final U.S. Senate vote on the Clarity Act, scheduled for Sept. 15, 2026. If passed, the bill will officially establish XRP's status as a commodity at the federal level, completely eliminating any remaining regulatory risks.
Anticipation of this catalyst has already triggered a major trend reversal following the prolonged decline in the first half of the year, when XRP lost 27.1% in Q1 and another 22.4% in the second.
The current Q3 has marked a fundamental reversal: as of the end of August, its total return stands at +37%, significantly above the historical quarterly median of 27.9%, signaling the end of the prolonged investor capitulation phase.
Other fundamental factors are now serving as a supportive backdrop, confirming a steady inflow of capital into the asset. In particular, spot XRP ETFs recorded net inflows of $127.34 million in August, bringing cumulative net inflows to $1.64 billion, while net assets under management reached $1.49 billion.
At the same time, activity within the ecosystem remains high — the XRP Ledger network surpassed the milestone of 5 billion transactions this week, while developers launched a security audit of XRPL Lending Protocol V1.1.
If the current technical reversal aligns with a positive Senate decision on Sept. 15, XRP has every chance of extending its four-year bullish streak at the beginning of autumn. A successful monthly close would open a direct path into Q4, which has historically been the token's most profitable, with an average return of +133.3%.
