Tokyo, Japan, July – Fracton Ventures, a leading incubator at the forefront of Japan's Web3 technology sector, has officially announced the highly anticipated DAO TOKYO 2024 event. Scheduled for August 21-22, 2024, at Tokyo's historic Kanda Myojin Shrine.

With a strategic focus on fostering collaboration, driving innovation, and uniting DAO enthusiasts worldwide, DAO TOKYO 2024 emerges as a pivotal gathering amplifying Asia's influence in decentralised autonomous organisations (DAOs). The event is expected to attract a diverse array of industry pioneers and enthusiasts eager to explore the future of decentralised governance.

Industry leaders and experts, including Anthony Leutenegger, CEO of Aragon; Tomasz Stanczak, CEO of Nethermind; Sejal Rekhan, Grants Innovation Specialist at Gitcoin; Giorgio Donà-Danioni, Co-Founder of KlimaDAO, are scheduled to speak at the event.

"Over the past year, we've seen a significant surge in the creation of tokens worldwide. In my view, any project that is active on-chain produces tokens, and has a treasury can be considered a DAO in the broadest sense. Utilising token incentives to expand the ecosystem's player base is crucial. This will evolve into a collective event for all those involved in token-issuing projects, moving beyond the notion that it’s irrelevant just because they haven't fully transitioned into a DAO yet," said Toshi Kamei, Co-Founder of Fracton Ventures.

The conference will feature an innovative program with workshops, expert panels, and discussions on cutting-edge trends in Web3/Crypto, DAO regulatory frameworks, DeFi advancements, DePIN networks, RWA integration, DAO governance, treasury management, and the societal impact of DAOs.

Japan's commitment to exploring Web3's potential was underscored in November 2022 when the digital ministry announced plans to convert its Web3 study group into a DAO. This initiative aims to encourage government investment and enhance understanding of Web3 capabilities.

As a result, Japan has become a prime destination for DAO enthusiasts to explore opportunities and connect, making DAO TOKYO 2024 a particularly promising event.
