Over 300 developers worked together in 70 teams to create 56 projects, competing for over $70,000 in prizes. After careful evaluation by the judges, several outstanding projects were selected.

Community Finalists Showcase Latest Ethereum Technology

Among the nine Community Finalists, two teams stood out for their use of the latest technology from the Dencun upgrade, including using Blob Data to create more cost-effective transaction fees for Layer2 applications and Transient Storage to build more optimized ERC20 and ERC721 tokens. These projects demonstrated the Ethereum community's understanding of the latest EIPs and their ability to apply them in innovative ways.

Taiwanese Teams Develop End-to-End Products

Several teams from Taiwan also caught the judges' attention for their development of end-to-end products in just three days. These included ZicretPair, an anonymous dating platform on the blockchain; Hiraijin, a QR code payment system that accepts on-chain assets; and Kage, a cross-chain privacy payment service. These teams participated in Demo Day and received high praise, fostering exchange between developers from different countries, co-creating more great ideas, and sparking creativity among all participants.

Sponsors and Judges Impressed by the developer community

In addition to the above projects, many other outstanding works were showcased at the hackathon. These innovative projects demonstrated not only the technical skills of the participants but also their passion and anticipation for the Ethereum ecosystem.

Sponsors and judges from various international companies also gave positive feedback on the developer community. For example, the judging team from Consensys said, "The project quality was really competitive." The Polygon team also responded, "The quality of projects were mostly above average from a hackathon perspective."

Overall, the ETHTaipei 2024 hackathon showcased the creativity and talent of the participants, promoted technical exchange and community progress, and brought new momentum to the Ethereum ecosystem.
