DRIFT, the studio and accompanying token behind the Web3 game Payout Pursuit, sold out in the first round of the presale in just two hours.

The new project, created by a veteran and fully doxxed team, has announced that the second presale round will take place on January 3rd, at 12pm EST (5pm UTC).

The team behind DRIFT has implemented a unique tokenomic structure around the project, in which the success of the game benefits the studio token and vice versa, but sell pressure is reduced through two-way insulation between the game and the studio.

The team's experience in Web3 gaming and NFT publishing has lent them unique insights into which tokenomic models work, and which don’t. Given their track record and deep understanding of the wider crypto landscape, the team behind DRIFT was always focused on developing a project attractive to Web3 gamers and non-gamers.

Following the success of DRIFT’s first presale round, the core team and developers are working on plans to scale, while remaining committed to their grassroots, organic approach to partnerships and community-building.

According to DRIFT’s CEO, Josh Chand: “The community really resonated with the idea of a studio token, rather than an in-game token, as well as a cross-chain gaming experience. The real benefit of this tokenomic model is that gamers and non-gamers can all participate in the studio’s endeavors.”

The team behind DRIFT also operates Influ3nce and its Amba$$ador program. This initiative enables Key Opinion Leaders in the Web3 space to financially benefit by actively involving their followers and communities in projects they endorse.

Many investors in the presale participated in the Ambassador program, which operates on a revenue-share basis to reward members of the community that support the project directly.

Community engagement remains a key plank for the DRIFT project. However, according to Chand, quality is the most important factor in the success of any project. He emphasizes: “We’ve had some early success, but we’re not resting on our laurels. We understand that communities are built around quality projects—in the end, quality really counts."

The second round of the presale kicks off on January 3rd, 12pm EST (5pm UTC).
