Robinhood Chain appears to have experienced a network outage on Sept. 4, with the blockchain temporarily stopping the production of new blocks and leaving transactions unrecorded.

The network went 13 minutes without recording a new transaction, according to data from the Blockscout explorer. 

The incident comes as Robinhood Chain is gaining attention as Robinhood expands its on-chain financial infrastructure.

Recent usage data shows that Robinhood Chain saw a dramatic increase in activity shortly after its July 1  mainnet launch. Blockscout reported that the network grew from roughly 22,000 daily transactions during its first week of data to about 8.5 million daily transactions by mid-July, a 38,350% increase.

At the time of reporting, the specific cause of the interruption had not been disclosed. Robinhood's main status page showed no officially reported incident for Sept. 4. 

Block production resumes 

Update: (21:08 (UTC+8)): Block production has intermittently resumed, with the latest block displayed on the explorer timestamped at 21:06.

Block production resumed intermittently at first, then more steadily. On-chain transaction activity gradually recovered. By later reports, the chain was fully back online and producing blocks normally.
 
The network has now returned to normal operation. User reports and outage trackers for the broader Robinhood service showed limited or no major widespread impact on the core app. 
 
So, this was a short disruption on a still-maturing L2, not a prolonged failure.
