Bitget Wallet has unveiled Assetback, a new cashback program that allows users to earn investment assets instead of traditional cash or loyalty points when making purchases with the Bitget Wallet Card.

The feature enables eligible users to receive rewards in Bitcoin, tokenized gold (XAUT), or tokenized U.S. stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs), including exposure to companies such as NVIDIA, Tesla and Google, as well as the S&P 500. Stablecoins are also available as a cashback option.

The Bitget Wallet Card is currently available in more than 50 markets and can be used anywhere Visa and Mastercard are accepted.

Assetback departs from conventional card rewards programs, which typically return spending in the form of fiat currency, airline miles or retailer-specific points.

Instead of receiving rewards that may lose purchasing power over time or have limited redemption options, users select their preferred reward asset once in advance. Eligible cashback is then automatically converted into that asset after each qualifying purchase, without requiring a brokerage account, separate investment platform or additional action at checkout.

According to Bitget Wallet, eligible users can earn up to 3% cashback, depending on the program's terms.

The approach effectively applies dollar-cost averaging to everyday spending by turning routine purchases into recurring investments.

Expanding access to tokenized assets

The launch also reflects the growing role of tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) in consumer finance.

Beyond cryptocurrencies, users can receive tokenized exposure to gold and U.S. equities through xStocks, Payward's tokenized equity framework. The company says the program could make global investment assets more accessible, particularly in regions where investing directly in U.S. stocks is expensive or operationally challenging.

"Card rewards have returned cash or points for forty years, not because they delivered the best outcome for users, but because delivering anything else required infrastructure that didn't exist. That infrastructure now exists," said Alvin Kan, Chief Operating Officer of Bitget Wallet. "When every purchase can automatically accumulate fractional ownership of stocks, commodities or Bitcoin, cashback becomes more than a rebate, it becomes a simple way to build long-term wealth."

Crypto card usage continues to grow

The launch comes as cryptocurrency payment cards continue to gain traction. According to figures cited by Bitget Wallet, monthly crypto card payment volume reached $656 million in May 2026, more than doubling from $271 million during the same period a year earlier. Cumulative industry payment volume has now surpassed $7.8 billion.

The company also said spending through the Bitget Wallet Card nearly tripled during the first half of 2026. At the same time, users have been making more frequent purchases, with transaction values and spending patterns increasingly resembling those seen with traditional payment cards.

Bitget Wallet argues that allowing users to accumulate investment assets through everyday spending creates an additional incentive to use crypto wallets for routine payments, helping bridge the gap between simply holding digital assets and using them in daily financial activity.
