Bitget, the world's largest Universal Exchange (UEX), has announced the launch of Universal Cup, a global football-inspired community campaign that combines gaming, competition and rewards around one of the year's biggest sporting events.
Built around the slogan "Don't Just Watch. Rule the Game," the initiative transforms spectators into active participants through a tournament-style experience where users represent nations, earn points and compete for a share of a 250,000 USDT prize pool.
The campaign runs from June 11 through July 19, 2026, allowing participants to engage throughout the tournament and climb both individual and national leaderboards.
Multiple ways to earn rewards
Universal Cup is structured around an interactive penalty shootout mini-game.
Participants can select from 48 countries and attempt to score points by hitting moving targets representing three major trading categories within the Bitget ecosystem: Crypto, Stocks and CFDs.
Individual performance contributes to the ranking of the nation a user represents, creating a dynamic global leaderboard that changes throughout the competition.
Unlike traditional sports tournaments, users are not locked into a single team for the duration of the event. If their chosen nation is eliminated, they can continue competing by switching to another participating country and remaining active in the competition.
The campaign features a total prize pool of 250,000 USDT, distributed across several reward categories.
Participants can earn prizes through daily rewards, individual leaderboard rankings, lucky draw events, tournament-stage competitions and championship prizes.
Additional rewards will also be allocated to members of the nation that ultimately finishes first in the global competition.
The structure is designed to encourage ongoing participation throughout the tournament rather than rewarding only top-ranked players.
Connecting sports, community and crypto
"For years, sports fans have been some of the most passionate audiences in the world, but mostly as spectators," said Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget. "Crypto changes that dynamic by making participation part of the experience. Universal Cup brings together competition, community, and engagement around a global sporting moment while giving users a fun introduction to the Universal Exchange ecosystem."
According to Bitget, the campaign is intended not only as a community engagement initiative but also as a way to familiarize users with the broader Universal Exchange model that combines crypto assets, traditional financial products and interactive experiences within a single platform.
Universal Cup continues Bitget's long-standing involvement with the global football community.
The company previously partnered with Lionel Messi and currently serves as an official regional partner of LALIGA across Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia and Latin America.
Through the new campaign, Bitget is extending that relationship beyond sponsorships by creating a participation-driven experience that blends football fandom with digital engagement.
As exchanges increasingly compete through community initiatives and gamified experiences, Universal Cup represents another example of how crypto platforms are using major global sporting events to attract users and strengthen engagement within their ecosystems.
