Bitget, the world's largest Universal Exchange (UEX), has launched Stock+, a new addition to its Stocks 2.0 ecosystem that enables users to purchase real U.S.-listed equities using USDC and other digital assets.

The launch is designed to reduce the barriers that have traditionally separated crypto markets from conventional finance, allowing users to access publicly traded companies through a crypto-native trading experience.

Rather than relying on bank transfers, local brokerage accounts, or jurisdiction-specific onboarding processes, Stock+ allows users to fund their accounts with digital assets, convert them into USDC, and invest in U.S. equities from within the Bitget platform.

Real share ownership instead of synthetic exposure

A key distinction of Stock+ is that it provides ownership of underlying shares rather than synthetic exposure or derivative-based products.

Trades are executed through regulated brokerage partners, giving users access to the rights associated with stock ownership. This includes eligibility for cash dividends, participation in stock split adjustments, and exposure to the performance of the underlying companies.

The service also follows U.S. market schedules, supporting trading during pre-market, regular market, and after-hours sessions.

"Bitget was among the first exchanges to bring together crypto, tokenized assets, commodities and equities under the Universal Exchange vision. Stock+ is the next evolution of that strategy," said Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget. "Access is important, but ownership matters too. Giving users access to real ownership of U.S.-listed companies is how we actually bridge financial markets. The platforms that succeed will be the ones that combine access, ownership, and flexibility in a single experience."

In addition to crypto-funded stock purchases, Stock+ supports inbound transfers of existing equity positions from participating brokers through standard transfer mechanisms.

This functionality allows users to consolidate traditional stock holdings alongside digital assets within a single portfolio environment, potentially simplifying portfolio management across multiple asset classes.

Bitget says the feature is intended to provide greater flexibility for investors seeking exposure to both traditional and digital markets without maintaining separate investment platforms.

Broader Stocks 2.0 strategy

The launch builds on Bitget's broader Stocks 2.0 initiative, which began in June 2026 with the introduction of Reality, the company's regulated real-world asset (RWA) protocol and its tokenized stock products known as rTokens.

According to Bitget, the platform currently offers more than 500 U.S. stocks and ETFs, including companies such as SpaceX, Tesla, and NVIDIA. The company says assets under management associated with its rToken ecosystem have surpassed $50 million.

With the addition of Stock+, Bitget now offers both tokenized stock exposure and direct ownership of U.S.-listed equities, expanding the range of equity products available within its Universal Exchange framework.

To encourage adoption, Bitget has introduced promotional pricing for Stock+ users.

Trading fees start at 0.1%, with a 50% discount available through August 31, 2026, reducing costs for early participants as the platform expands its stock trading offerings.

The launch represents another step in Bitget's effort to create a unified investment environment where users can access cryptocurrencies, tokenized assets, commodities, and traditional equities from a single account structure.
