With about 835 billion SHIB moving through exchanges in the last 24 hours, Shiba Inu has documented yet another wave of enormous whale activity. The narrative that institutional-sized wallets are actively managing exposure around SHIB's recent breakout is reinforced by the most recent on-chain data, which reveals that large holders continue to reposition their assets at an exceptionally high pace despite exchange inflows and outflows remaining elevated.

Large volumes are moving

Over 771 billion SHIB left trading platforms during that time, according to exchange metrics, while inflows exceeded 1.29 trillion tokens. The net exchange flow of about 512 billion SHIB shows that massive amounts are still moving between exchanges and private wallets even though both numbers remain very high. When whales redistribute holdings rather than simply liquidate positions, this activity frequently coincides with periods of high volatility.

Exchange reserves rose slightly to almost 86.8 trillion SHIB at the same time, indicating that although withdrawals are still substantial, new deposits are also entering the market. Both active addresses and active receiving addresses showed modest increases, suggesting that network participation is holding steady rather than plummeting following the recent surge.

Volatility is back at normal

Technically speaking, SHIB is currently experiencing one of its biggest daily movements in several months. The token reached the 100-day EMA close to $0.00000503 after soaring through the 26-day and 50-day exponential moving averages, but it then ran into immediate resistance. Following the breakout, sellers swiftly drove the price back below that level, creating a long upper wick that indicates aggressive profit-taking.

SHIB maintains the bullish improvement created during the initial surge by trading above both the 26-day and 50-day EMAs despite the decline. The first support area is now represented by those moving averages, which are clustered around $0.00000445–$0.00000448. The wider recovery is unaffected as long as buyers defend that area. Regaining the 100-day EMA on a daily closing basis remains the next challenge.

While the price consolidates following its breakout attempt, massive transfers continue to flow through the network. Once SHIB either regains the 100-day EMA or loses support around the short-term moving averages, it will probably become evident whether these transactions ultimately reflect accumulation or distribution.
