Cardano upgrades gain traction

Dijkstra preparations continue; Node 11.2 integration is underway and will provide the foundation for early Dijkstra testing.

Cardano-node-11.1.1 is soon to be mainnet-ready and is tagged as a Dijkstra Pre-Release. This release removes the V1 LedgerDB and the LMDB storage backend and makes ledger snapshots predictable and Mithril-compatible, so snapshots are comparable and shareable across nodes.

Integration of 11.2 is already underway and expected to complete within the next few weeks, bringing the Dijkstra feature set, including the new block format, but without Leios. While 11.2 should not be considered capable of surviving the hard fork event, it will enable early Dijkstra testing and downstream tooling integration, with a dedicated public testnet "DijkstraNet" being made available for this purpose.

Critical-path readiness is also expanding beyond the node, with Dolos and Pallas identified among the important dependencies.

Hydra 2.4.1 was also released this week while DevX Cardano-init open beta ships, the first Plu-ts stable release is out, and the Leios prototype was significantly improved.
