Cutting-edge solution for digital identities management, SocialKYC, is now ready to onboard its first users. To utilize it properly, crypto enthusiasts should activate KILT's wallet, Sporran.

SocialKYC is built on KILT Protocol in the Polkadot Ecoysystem

According to the official announcement shared by BOTLabs Trusted Entity (B.T.E.), a fully-owned subsidiary of BOTLabs GmbH, SocialKYC verification instrument goes live on KILT Protocol.

Activated in a pair with Sporran (the KILT wallet), SocialKYC provides crypto users with secure instruments to store, manage and present their social credentials.

SocialKYC can create a credential kit for all users who verify email and social media accounts. In order to prove the ownership of the account and email address, users need to complete simple tasks.

SocialKYC's credentials provide an alternative way to verify your identity, similar to traditional "Know-Your-Customer" checks of banking institutions and centralized cryptocurrency platforms.

SocialKYC forgets about your data. When?

Unlike classic verification kits, SocialKYC's datasets can be customized: a user can choose which services should be allowed to access this or that element of his/her credentials.

SocialKYC also does not store the data provided by its users, emphasizes Ingo Rübe, Founder of KILT Protocol and CEO of BOTLabs Gmbh:

Unlike sign-in processes on the internet to date, SocialKYC forgets about the user and the credential as soon as the credential is issued. This avoids your personal data being shared, sold or otherwise 'monetized' by third parties without your knowledge or benefit. From brick and mortar to metaverse, there are SocialKYC use case opportunities wherever social trust is needed.

Sporran is available as Google Chrome and Firefox extensions; after installing Sporran users can set up their Twitter and email credentials using SocialKYC..
