The XRP ETF market has continued to expand amid growing interest from institutions seeking to increase their exposure to the leading crypto asset.

With major products still on the lineup to officially enter the market as they await regulatory approvals from the SEC, one of the most anticipated XRP ETF listings has seen its registration reportedly scheduled for a new date.

Teucrium reveals new date

A recent filing by Listed Funds Trust with the U.S. SEC shows that the launch of the proposed Teucrium 2x Short Daily XRP ETF has been delayed until next month.

Notably, the new filing with the SEC states that the effectiveness of the 2x Short XRP ETF's registration statement has been delayed until October 11, 2026.

While the filing was made as a post-effective amendment to the trust's registration statement under the Securities Act of 1933 and the Investment Company Act of 1940, it automatically shifts its official launch to a later date.

What this means for Teucrium 2x Short Daily XRP ETF

Per its design, the Teucrium 2x Short Daily XRP ETF aims to provide investors with 2x inverse daily exposure to XRP. This means that it will provide twice the opposite of XRP's daily performance to investors before fees and expenses.

Simply put, on a day when XRP falls by 3%, the fund would generally target a gain of about 6% for that day, although actual returns can differ.

Nonetheless, it is important to note that the new date does not mean the ETF will begin trading on October 11. Rather, the fund is still on the lineup for launch, as the move only delays the effectiveness of its registration to the stated date.
