UPS turns to the newfangled Blockchain technology in order to improve its logistics. The US-based package delivery company is certain that the Blockchain will help to maximize delivery efficiency around the globe.
According to its USPTO application, the company has developed a decentralized application that is capable of automatically routing packets from several logistic services, thus standardizing delivery.
The century-old shipping giant is going even a tad further by planning to utilize smart contracts for different parties to conduct value transfers that allegedly could be conducted with Bitcoin or Ethereum.
