Tron Steps Up Its Blockchain Game with CoinPlay Acquisition
Tron has recently made an announcement about the acquisition of Blockchain-based app store CoinPlay that is expected to give a sizeable boost to the project’s ecosystem. The two companies will make it easier for users to find and download different dApps.
All dApps in one place
The Google Play Store has managed to rake in a staggering $24.8 bln in 2018. With a plethora of different apps that are available in conventional app stores, it is rather challenging to find any dApps, which is one of the reasons why they are struggling with adoption. CoinPlay alleviates that task by creating a platform where different categories of dApps (games, Blockchain software, etc.) are gathered in one place.
A boon for decentralization
According to Tron CEO Justin Sun, their latest acquisition will help them serve the Blockchain industry in a better way. CoinPlay makes it easier for uninitiated users to dive into the world of decentralization.
On Mar. 27, BitTorrent, which was acquired by Tron in June 2018, announced the launch a P2P-based live streaming service that will on BTT payments.
