Thai police have busted Parinya Jaravijit. He is the older brother of a film series Thai actor named Jarapisit Jaravijit. Parinya was taken into custody on Thursday. The following day he was brought to court for his detention, which will take almost two weeks and finish on Oct. 23.
The suspect’s relatives had already prepared 20 baht mln to bail him out but the police rejected this option.
As U.Today reported earlier, Parinya is the primary suspect in the crypto scam story in which a Finnish investor named Saarimaa lost 5,000 BTC. This money was stolen by Parinya and his relatives, including the Thai film actor Jarapisit Jaravijit back in August. The investor was offered to put his money in the ICO of Dragon Coin (DRG). But instead, Parinya just shared the Bitcoins with his relatives and a few business partners, one of whom is a reputed investor in Thailand.
