SEC’s recent rejection of nine cryptocurrency ETFs could be eventually reversed. On Aug. 23, Brent Fields, who serves as SEC secretary, sent a letter to the NYSE, stating that the decision will be further reviewed by the agency. The letter doesn’t specify the date of the final verdict, but it says that they will swiftly make public any actions taken by the commissioners.
‘Crypto Mom’ Hester Pierce, the only SEC commissioner who voted to approve Bitcoin ETFs, took to Twitter to explain that the Commission still has to weight on the staff’s decision.
