One mln of AmurCoins (title originating from the Amur Oblast and the Amur river) was issued by local and Moscow crypto enthusiasts, based on the WAVES platform.

The creators, reportedly, did not plan to replace the Ruble in their region but rather to use the tokens for studying Blockchain and the way cryptocurrencies function.

The Eastern Economic Forum is to take place in Vladivostok in September 2018. The AmurCoins will be granted to the guests, allowing them to buy ice-cream, souvenirs and even rent a hotel room.
