One of Mastercard’s Research & Development centers, located in Ireland, is now turning to Blockchain and other “deep tech” to develop its new products and services.

Ken Moore, Head of Mastercard Labs, said the company’s Dublin-based center was going to develop “real, grounded services and products” based on Blockchain and other innovative technologies. The Irish unit recently announced plans to create 175 jobs including positions connected with Blockchain.
“This is not exploratory work for us,” said Moore.
