The FCA, a British regulatory body, has given the green light to a major crypto firm Wirex by providing it with an e-money license. Wirex co-founder Pavel Matveev states that the company is also seeking legal recognition outside the UK, trying to additionally obtain licenses in the US and Japan.
The London-based firm is issuing a cryptocurrency card that allows making payments with a slew of digital assets. It has already surpassed more than $1 bln worth of transactions. Wirex has offices all over the world.
Meanwhile, the FCA urges traders to be cautious about a rising number of unregulated crypto-related businesses.
