On Monday, December 17, the Komodo platform reported the successful completion of the scheduled code base update from Zcash dubbed Sapling. On Friday last week, U.Today reported about the intention of the startup to perform the update on Saturday. In order to answer any possible questions from users, the platform launched an AMA session, announcing it on Reddit.

Upgrade complete

Earlier today, Komodo announced on Twitter that the code base had been successfully upgraded. The AMA (ask me anything) session is still active, though, for those users who still have questions or fears. The company reps assure, however, that no customers will lose their funds.

The upgrade was introduced at around 1 am UTC on Saturday, and it was obligatory for all those that wish to keep using the blockchain. The blockchain called it the biggest upgrade Komodo has ever implemented.

The developers promise various innovations and new features introduced with the upgrade. Later on, at Christmas or in early January, Ledger wallet is scheduled to add support for the Sapling upgrade as well.

KMD market position

Compared to Friday, when U.Today reported about the coming AMA session, and KMD was occupying position #55 on the top-100 coins list, the asset has now declined to place #58. The price of the token has also plummeted a little to $0.54. The market capitalization of the coin is $60 620 518. The circulating supply totals 111 027 325 KMD. Over the last 24 hours, the coin has spiked 4.35 percent.
