In the Monday press release, it was reported that several prominent Japanese companies are joining efforts with Mitsubishi UFJ Bank and the University of Tokyo to work on a Blockchain project that intends to enable solar energy producers to sell electric power to regular clients.

The companies plan to create a platform that would allow the whole process to be implemented. Mitsubishi UFJ Bank will provide advice on the use of Blockchain since it already has experience of working in this area. The University of Tokyo will carry out the research.
