On Tuesday, the decentralized chief officer of HTC, Phil Chen, announced details for the coming launch of the cryptophone Exodus. The phone is to combine the functions of a phone and a digital wallet with extensive security layers.
The gadget will allow its owners to keep their own private keys, the company emphasized that this would be the phone’s primary feature. The device will be utilizing the Zion protocol for managing private keys and will ensure APIs linked with wallets will be enforced with a trusted hardware stack. It will be possible to recover private keys in case of a loss: users will be able to ask up to five people to help them do that if they lose their phone.
Exodus is to be sold for crypto only. Presently, the phone is going at 0.15 BTC or 4.78 ETH. The presale has begun.
