House Representative Asks Ethics Committee to Create Cryptocurrency Disclosure Guidelines

Colorado House Representative Jared Polis has sent a letter to the US House Committee on Ethics (HCE) requesting cryptocurrency disclosure guidelines. Polis’s letter requests that the HCE create guidelines requiring politicians to disclose any digital currency holdings that they have. Members of Congress are already required to disclose any commodity holdings they have that exceed $1,000.
