Former NSA Official Claims Bitcoin Being Used to Finance North Korea’s Nuclear Program

Bitcoin is being used by North Korea to finance their nuclear program, according to an interview with a former NSA official, Priscilla Moriuchi. She believes that North Korean Bitcoin mining operations bring in “between $15 million and $200 million.” Bitcoin skeptics will certainly seize on this as a further reason to impose more regulations on digital currency. Apparently the twin bugaboos of terrorist financing and money laundering weren’t enough, so they had to add “financing a rogue state” to the list.
