Early data from tax filing service Credit Karma reveals that only 0.04 percent of US tax filers have reported their cryptocurrency gains and losses to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). The number of individuals who have filed their taxes is way less than the estimated seven percent of Americans who own cryptocurrencies.
