In his recent tweet, Coinbase co-founder Fred Ehrsam voiced his predictions about full-fledged gaming economies becoming a reality in 10–15 years. Ehrsam, who was a big fan of World of Warcraft (WoW) before joining forces with the San Francisco-based crypto behemoth, is certain that cryptocurrencies will be able to transform the current labor market, completely changing the definition of the word “work” itself.
I suspect blockchain-based digital assets will make virtual economies very real. People will be able to earn their entire living in virtual worlds in the next 10-15 years, changing the definition of “work” itself.

Gaming economies have been around for years. According to Ehrsam’s estimations, he would earn around $0.87 for each hour of him playing WoW. However, they remain closed to the general public, but cryptocurrencies, according to Ehrsam, could be a game changer.
