With BTC hitting the $7,000 mark for the first time since Aug. 7, Bitcoin hashrate has also witnessed a gargantuan increase– it surged by a whopping 35 percent just in two days, reaching 62 EH/s for the first time.
There are different explanations as to what’s behind this unprecedented spike in hashrate. Miners could be ditching Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and stick with Bitcoin, but it is also quite possible that somebody came up with a groundbreaking chip that gives current ASIC flagships a run for their money.
Whatever the reason, financial analyst Max Keiser predicts the new BTC all-time high in the offing.
Based on my HR analysis, new ATH incoming. $28,000 still in play. pic.twitter.com/hYgPti1cqn
