According to The Detroit News, as of Feb. 26, there are 23 Bitcoin ATMs in Detroit. Surprisingly, all of the Bitcoin ATMs in Detroit are located in low-income areas that are underserved by banks and financial institutions. They are located in various locations like cash checking centers, gas stations and party supply stores. Ayman Rida, the owner of a bitcoin ATM provider in Detroit, says his company installed 15 Bitcoin ATMs in Detroit only last year and that the average transaction is about $70 to $80.
