Humaniq, a UK fintech company that is focused on providing payment solutions for unbanked people, is expanding its dominance on the African market with 21 countries already using its Blockchain-based mobile payment app.
The company is reportedly planning to further explore Africa, but it may hit a snag because of regulatory hurdles. The problem is that the majority of African countries are yet to develop a common-sense regulatory platform for cryptocurrencies and Blockchain, so they basically remain in a legal grey zone. Humaniq will only operate in those regions where it can be fully compliant with local regulations.
