The South Korean government budget to allocate a whopping amount of about $925 mln in 2019 to further advance the Blockchain technology along with AI and big data solutions. Remarkably enough, it almost doubles the 2018 investments in this niche.

According to the press release, South Korea is planning to invest more than $8 bln in the tech innovations over a five-year period, which would accelerate the country’s economic progress. It is yet to be determined what exact amount of this money will be spent on the Blockchain, since the report doesn’t discriminate between the aforementioned areas of technological progress.
