Robinhood app adds altcoins

Just a while ago, the crypto trading app listed Dogecoin (DOGE) and now after adding ETC investors and traders are offered to work with six digital coins, among which is Bitcoin, Ethereum and a few others.

Besides, the app allows you to track market data for other 10 coins.

Presently, the app can be accessed from almost 20 US states. The platform seems to be quickly gaining licenses from other states as well.

ETC is boosting its trading scale

Last week, the US-based Coinbase exchange confirmed its intention to add support for Ethereum Classic that has been promised for a while already. Currently, the platform is performing the final tests and is preparing to launch trading pairs with this asset. The tests are expected to be finished by Tuesday Aug.7.

It is likely that the Robinhood app, being a competitor of the exchange, decided to go for the same coin, so as not to give the rival an advantage.

Data from the Coinmarketcam.com site says that currently ETC is trading at $17.71, it has been up above six percent over the last 24 hours. Experts believe that this rise is due to the announcement of Coinbase. The intentions that Robinhood has too been made public today can also give ETC a momentum.
