Israel based company CoinDash has reported that over $17 mln worth of stolen Ether has been returned to the CoinDash Ether wallet. The initial theft of the Ether occurred on July 17, 2018, when CoinDash launched their ICO. During the ICO, hackers swapped out the firms wallet address, the one that investors were supposed to send money to, with their own address and made off with over $7 mln worth of Ether at the time. Mysteriously, 10,000 Ether were returned to CoinDash in September and on Feb. 23, 2018, the hackers chose to return 20,000 more Ether to CoinDash. It is uncertain why the hackers returned the stolen funds. However, CoinDash has notified the Counter CyberTerrorism Unit in Israel to monitor the hackers Ethereum wallet address for suspicious activity.
