On Tuesday, Opera made a public announcement about Reborn 3. That is an upgraded version of the company’s popular web browser. Now it also includes a free VPN, an explorer for Web 3 and an embedded wallet for using digital coins.

New Opera is here for taking

The firm has now brought out to the public the new web browser, letting users enjoy a virtual asset wallet built in.

The upgraded Opera browser under the name “Reborn 3” has now been released for desktops – running on all major platforms. The browser enables users to work with DLT-based dApps running on Web 3. To utilize the wallet, users will need special web extensions, like Metamask.

For better security, Opera has made a way to synchronize Reborn 3 with an Android-based mobile Opera browser which came out in December 2018.

Now, users will be able to hold their private keys for wallets in their smartphones and be notified on the phones when they need confirm a DLT operation.

To confirm is or access the wallet they will have to use the system of face recognition or their fingerprints.

In the near future, Opera intends to upgrade its iOS browser, Opera Touch, with a crypto wallet as well.

Opera’s ‘crypto browser’

Scandinavian IT giant Opera announced its intention to create a Web 3 mobile browser for Android in mid-summer 2018. Presently, the platform works with ETH and other coins based on the ERC20, ERC721 standards, like CryptoKitties.
