Klaytn platform, launched by the messaging giant Kakao, can now be tested by 10 specially invited partners. According to the whitepaper, the new DLT network is created to serve as the basis for dApp development. The new platform combines the mechanism of consensus nodes (CN) and ranger nodes (RN), so as to get a high level of scalability and make things transparent.

The technical team claims that the network will be able to conduct around 1,500 operations per second.
The platform plans to issue 10 mln KLAY coins for both types of nodes, based on the amount of their work. The code of the platform will be made public later; the mainnet will be launched in early 2019.
