Litecoin (LTC) has just been added to Gemini, according to the company’s Medium post. The leading US-based exchange, spearheaded by the famed Winklevoss brothers, will open Litecoin deposits on Oct. 13 (at 13:30 UTC). The seventh largest cryptocurrency by market cap will be featured in four trading pairs, including LTC/USD, LTC/BTC, LTC/ETH and ZEC/LTC.
Gemini’s Eric Winer claims they closely cooperated with the NYSDFS in order to get approval for trading LTC and providing customers with custody solutions for this digital asset.
The exchange also mulled over listing another Bitcoin spin-off Bitcoin Cash (BCH), but its potential forking this November was the reason behind scrapping the plan.
