The popular Japanese messaging app LINE intended to produce its own virtual currency in September. However, now it has become clear that the coin LINK will not be distributed through an ICO. Besides, customers from the US and Japan will not have access to the new coin because of licensing issues.

The LINK coin will be paid to customers as a bonus for using special options of the LINE app. The coin will later be added to the company’s exchange BitBox, so users can trade it.
